Every Child Deserves a Family

Some children need additional support to address issues from early childhood trauma before moving in with a foster family. We truly believe that we can provide children who have suffered trauma with intensive therapeutic residential placements in order to prepare them for reparative and loving foster placements.

We support local authorities in their commitment to enabling children to thrive, succeed and understand their own worth. These shared goals will support children in care with the transition from residential to fostering. We recognise the courage it takes for these children to begin the process of healing. Therefore the relationship they develop with their key worker will be promoted during their residential placement and throughout their foster placement.

Our Commitment to Permanent Family Life

Our outstanding foster carers, education and residential staff will be supported through our Relational Model of Care to work collaboratively in order to understand the individual needs of each child. As social workers, when you refer a child to our services, we will develop a bespoke package of care in order to support successful, proactive transitions to foster families.

Key workers support both the child and the foster family to reflect on how the child may communicate through their behaviour. Training opportunities with the therapy service focus on working alongside foster carers to understand attachment theory, supervision, child development and mentalisation and through this children and young people are supported to thrive and achieve in their placements and beyond.

“Through the Therapeutic Workshops, I have been able to reflect on how to communicate with my child, by understanding how my past experiences influence me as a parent”
